For the past decade I have balanced a professional services marketing career with a passion for writing. I have authored two mystery novels and several television scripts, efforts that have been supported by a Pulitzer Prize winning author and an Emmy award winning television writer and executive producer.
I focused on television writing in my senior year at Syracuse University where I wrote my first spec scripts (“Frasier” and “News Radio”) and won the University’s undergraduate short story contest, which led to publication in the Syracuse University Magazine.
In 2004, I was selected by and studied with Pulitzer Prize recipient Marilynne Robinson at the prestigious University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop fiction program. I completed my first novel, Rough Cut, in 2005 and tackled my second, Dirty Pictures, in 2009.
I have written spec scripts for “Hot in Cleveland,” “Burn Notice,” “The Middle” and an original half-hour pilot, “Under One Roof,” for which I wrote the teleplay and co-developed the story with veteran showrunner Phil Kellard.
I am currently seeking literary representation for television writing.
